Frequently Asked Questions
- Your account will keep its original open date and there will be no disruption to your length of credit history with the credit bureaus.
- If you have a fixed rate, your new card will be a VISA fixed rate card. Any balances protected on a fixed rate card prior to June 2023 will convert to the VISA card with the same rate protection on the balance.
- If you have a variable rate, your new card will be a VISA variable rate card.
- Once your card has been converted to VISA, you will have a 25-day period before the Mastercard becomes inactive.
- All existing Mastercard accounts will seamlessly transition to VISA by September 2024, ensuring uninterrupted access to the many benefits and personal service you've come to expect from MAX. You will receive a new MAX VISA credit card by mail. This card will replace your current MAX Mastercard. If you have questions or concerns about the status of your card, please contact the Card Service department at cardservices@mymax.com or at 334-215-4044.
You will also need to update the payment information on any scheduled auto-payments with your new card number in order to continue making payments without interruption.
