Overview

MAX is looking to fill the role of a Financial Advisor with a knowledgeable, experienced individual.  In this role, you will be providing financial advice, developing financial plans for our members, and oversee the investments of the customer.   • Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Work with branches on financial education.
  • Sell products such as stocks, bonds, and mutual funds.
  • Review accounts to determine if life changes necessitate new financial strategies.
  • Use spreadsheets and market research to back up financial advice.
  • Identify and keep abreast of new market trends.
  • Recommend strategies clients can use to achieve their financial goals and objectives, including advice on debt management, cash management, insurance coverage, and investments.

  • Handle customer complaints and resolve problems. Services and manages client portfolios.
  • Solicits new business, helping to diversify portfolios and achieve goals. Informs and consults the client, especially about risks.
  • Receives and processes orders with the clearing firm.
  • Maintains an up to date familiarity with MAX's personal investment products portfolio. Attends the required annual BSA and Red Flag training and passes the required tests with an adequate score.
  • Upholds core values and builds team member and customer relationships. Completes all training as required.

Overview

Mortgage Services Department is seeking a Mortgage Originator to join the team!  This position performs a wide variety of duties relating to the origination of residential mortgage loans.  Additionally, this position assists MAX members with loans by performing the origination process from its application stage to its closing stage while also proactively and consistently networking with realtors and builders to promote the benefits of MAX mortgage options available to their customers.

Role:

To help meet strategic mortgage service goals by performing a wide range of duties relating to the origination of residential mortgage loans primarily through generating external/outside sales.


Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Generates external/outside business (purchase and refinance loans), within the local market developed through external relationships (realtors, builders, developers, etc.)

Member Service Consultant

Overview

MAX is now seeking experienced Member Service Consultants in the Montgomery and River Region area, as well as Auburn, Opelika, Troy and the East Alabama area. These skilled individuals will be responsible for assisting members and potential members with their financial needs to include servicing transactions, counseling members on product selection or use, opening new accounts, and processing consumer loans. Qualified candidates will have at least 6 months work-related experience to include sales.


Role

To assist members and potential members with their Credit Union needs; explain services, set up new accounts, respond to problems, and direct members to the appropriate people.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Opens accounts and fully explains the services and distributes the proper disclosures.
  • Assists members in establishing Jenny MAX, ATM/ Debit Card services, and Online Banking.
  • Assists members in completing appropriate documentation regarding fraud situations.
  • Maintains basic knowledge of MAX products and services, and consistently cross offers these products and services.
  • Assists members with the completion of paperwork and posts documents required for stop payment orders, direct deposits, payroll deductions, allotments, etc.
  • Assists or seeks assistance effectively for members who have concerns/problems relating to Credit Union matters.
  • Performs duties of Branch Receptionist and Member Service Representative once a month to maintain skills.
  • Handles mail/telephone requests and inquires in accordance with Credit Union policies.
  • Supports and adheres to the member service standards.
  • Completes all training as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience: Six months of cumulative related experience.
  • Education: A high school education or GED.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
