Systems Analyst II

Overview

MAX is seeking a Systems Analyst II to join our savvy Technology team. This qualified individual will be responsible for application development and data management. Additionally, this position performs systems analysis, database design, and programming support in areas requiring a high level of technical competency. Qualified candidates will have a BS or BA in a related field and at least 5 years of experience in systems analysis and/or programming. If you have what we are looking for, apply today.

Role

To provide technical guidance to the Technology Department and Credit Union in the areas of application development and data management; participate in activities related to administration of the Credit Union's information resources.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Performs Systems Analysis, database design, and programming support in areas requiring a high level of technical competency.
  • Performs as project leader during the evaluation and implementation of new releases of application software.
  • Performs as project leader and directs other systems analyst.
  • Evaluates and makes recommendations on new hardware and software purchases as required.
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of internal standards and controls in accordance with Credit Union policies and procedures.
  • Analyzes, codes, tests, installs, and documents requested programming support.
  • Troubleshoots and coordinates problem resolution with software vendors on daily problems.
  • Coordinates system and application software updates.
  • Assumes leadership role in directing day to day activities of Technology in the absence of supervisor.
  • Completes all training as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience: Five years to eight years of similar or related experience.
  • Education: Equivalent to a college degree (BS or BA in a relevant field).
  • Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.

*Other Skills:B.S. in Technology, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent experience. Five years minimum experience in systems analysis and/or programming. Knowledge of Technology Operations & Programming in a credit union or financial environment desirable. Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to work with limited supervision. Ability to communicate, motivates, and organizes projects among a broad spectrum of personnel. Ability to exercise independent judgment in planning, organizing, and performing system analyst tasks. Some independent judgment required in setting priorities of task among multiple assigned projects. Minimum of one year of public contact experience required. Effective oral and written communication skills desired. Proficient computer skills preferred.

Member Service Consultant

MAX is now seeking experienced Member Service Consultants in the Montgomery and River Region area, as well as Auburn, Opelika, Troy and the East Alabama area. These skilled individuals will be responsible for assisting members and potential members with their financial needs to include servicing transactions, counseling members on product selection or use, opening new accounts, and processing consumer loans. Role

To assist members and potential members with their Credit Union needs; explain services, set up new accounts, respond to problems, and direct members to the appropriate people.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Opens accounts and fully explains the services and distributes the proper disclosures.
  • Assists members in establishing Jenny MAX, ATM/ Debit Card services, and Online Banking.
  • Assists members in completing appropriate documentation regarding fraud situations.
  • Maintains basic knowledge of MAX products and services, and consistently cross offers these products and services.
  • Assists members with the completion of paperwork and posts documents required for stop payment orders, direct deposits, payroll deductions, allotments, etc.
  • Assists or seeks assistance effectively for members who have concerns/problems relating to Credit Union matters.
  • Performs duties of Branch Receptionist and Member Service Representative once a month to maintain skills.
  • Handles mail/telephone requests and inquires in accordance with Credit Union policies.
  • Supports and adheres to the member service standards.
  • Completes all training as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience: Six months of cumulative related experience.
  • Education: A high school education or GED.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
