Business Credit Analyst

MAX seeks an experienced individual for a Business Credit Analyst position. Qualified candidates must have a college degree in business with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of one year of consumer, mortgage, or business loan underwriting experience. Previous financial institution experience is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Good oral and written communication skills required.
To evaluate financial statements and credit files of business credit applicants to assess the creditworthiness, thereby, determining the probability of full repayment.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Spreads financial statements, calculates certain ratios including measures of liquidity, leverage and cash flow, and submits the request to the appropriate approved channel.
Reviews business loan and residential construction loan applications and supporting financial statements to develop information sufficient to determine the borrowing capacity, capitalization and cash flow dynamics of an applicant.
Uses analytical software to evaluate loan requests, performing the initial analysis required to complete all data fields, interprets the results score and determines the need for further investigation or analysis.
Recommends approval/disapproval of business of business or construction loans.
Prepares credit approval memorandum for loans in specific transaction ranges for review by appropriate loan committees.
Participates in the Member Business Loan Committee, presenting summary information on underwritten loans and participating in discussions on potential loans.
Gathers data to generate reports relative to business loan application volume, cycle time, and portfolio quality.
Performs annual review of business loans to include reviewing current financial information and completing financial analysis in a timely manner.
Completes all training as required.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Three to five years of similar or related experience.
Equivalent to a college degree ( BS or BA in relevant field)

Must be able to read and analyze credit and other financial data. Prior experience in accounting and strong knowledge of accounting practices. Proficient with calculator and strong PC skills.
MAX is now seeking experienced Member Service Consultants in the Montgomery and River Region area, as well as Auburn, Opelika, Troy and the East Alabama area. These skilled individuals will be responsible for assisting members and potential members with their financial needs to include servicing transactions, counseling members on product selection or use, opening new accounts, and processing consumer loans. To assist members and potential members with their Credit Union needs; explain services, set up new accounts, respond to problems, and direct members to the appropriate people.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Opens accounts and fully explains the services and distributes the proper disclosures.
Assists members in establishing Jenny MAX, ATM/ Debit Card services, and Online Banking.
Assists members in completing appropriate documentation regarding fraud situations.
Maintains basic knowledge of MAX products and services, and consistently cross offers these products and services.
Assists members with the completion of paperwork and posts documents required for stop payment orders, direct deposits, payroll deductions, allotments, etc.
Assists or seeks assistance effectively for members who have concerns/problems relating to Credit Union matters.
Performs duties of Branch Receptionist and Member Service Representative once a month to maintain skills.
Handles mail/telephone requests and inquires in accordance with Credit Union policies.
Supports and adheres to the member service standards.
Completes all training as required.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Experience: Six months of cumulative related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED.
