New ID Verification Process at Shared Branch Locations when using an out-of-state ID
We’re making it even safer — and just as easy — to access your account when you visit a Shared Branch location!
To better protect your information, we’ve introduced a quick and secure ID verification process:
- Scan the QR Code
Locate and scan the QR code posted in the branch. You can also begin by visiting verify.coop.org. - Select MAX Credit Union
Choose us from the list of participating financial institutions. - Answer a Few Quick Questions
Provide some simple information to verify your identity. - Upload a Photo of Your ID & a Selfie
Snap a picture of your valid ID and take a selfie, then submit them through the secure portal. - Show Your One-Time Passcode
After verification, you’ll receive a unique passcode — just show it to the teller to complete your transaction.
This extra layer of security ensures it’s really you accessing your account, giving you greater protection and peace of mind every time you visit.
Please note: This process applies only when you visit a participating Shared Branch location and present an out-of-state ID for verification.
Member Responsibility
Members will be responsible for providing the proper forms of identification in order to conduct transactions at any Shared Branch locations. You will be required to provide the name of your home credit union along with account and personal information to verify your identity. You must also present an unexpired valid form of ID (i.e. Driver's License, State ID Card, Passport or US Military ID) and your complete address.
