From the beginning, the decision was yours.
In the first phase of this contest, we asked the community to nominate local non-profit organizations that deserve a donation from MAX. The nomination had to be a 501(c)(3) that has an impact in the Troy area. Qualifying non-profit organizations received automatic entry into the Contest when they were nominated on Facebook or Twitter by an individual, organization, or company using the “#MAXgives” hashtag in a public status update or public tweet between May 17, 2016 and August 31, 2016. The organization’s name and “#MAXgives” hashtag must be used in a public (unblocked) status update when using Facebook or an unprotected tweet when using Twitter to be accepted.
Three finalists were selected from your nominations!
In the second phase of our contest, you got to vote for your favorite finalists. Voters were able to submit a vote for the organization they wished to support. You decided which organization deserved your vote, and the largest donation from MAX. Voting began on Saturday, December 24 and we announced the winner at our ribbon cutting ceremony at the new, state-of-the-art branch on Highway 231.
Through our community involvement, we look forward to making Troy an even more wonderful place to live.
