MAX joined the Montgomery Clean City Commission, AARP Alabama, the City of Montgomery and Gilmore Services to offer free onsite shredding services to Montgomery-area residents on Friday, January 5 from 7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Residents were permitted to bring up to five (5) bags or boxes of personal documents for shredding onsite. The equipment handled staples, paper clips and rubber bands, so there was no need for presorting. All confidential records were disposed of properly, and all shredded paper was recycled.
Event participants were asked to bring a donation of nonperishable food for the Montgomery Area Food Bank.
